I love this set by Oneida so much, but please know -These are NOT Microwave Safe.They can only be wash on the TOP rack of your dishwasher. Obviously, handwashing is fine. Inside the package is the note from Oneida which I have pictured here for you. This should clear up any discrepancies for you.The set is lightweight but it doesn’t give that appearance. It includes bowls, salad size (lunch) plates and dinner plates. We used the bowls already and they are easy to hold due to the curves!Definitely a nice way to dress up your table! Nicer than the ol’ paper plate route. We won’t use the dinner size as much only because of the washing instructions. Kind of hard to fit them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Handwashing is easy, but we just have to remember these are not like our other dishes.Very nice set!

I love the ruffled lettuce edge shape of these plates - adds a little flair to casual dining. I have not used a set of melamine dishes since childhood, but glad I ordered these because I appreciate the fact that they are so lightweight and easy to handle as opposed to my stoneware pieces. The cream and blue speckled design is a good look for everyday use and the size of the plates and the bowls is just right. I'm really glad that they are dishwasher safe and virtually unbreakable, too. Guess the only drawback is that melamine is not microwave safe which prevents me from heating up a bowl of soup quickly, but other than that, these are great dishes.
