So much better than another brand I tried

So much better than another brand I tried
I bought these to mount two safety bars in my tub/shower.Mounting any heavy item to walls with studs that are metal is a nightmare. Most anchors will pull right out even if you hit the studs. These anchors make it a breeze whether it's in drywall or if you catch the metal studs. You can't use these on wood studs, if you have wood studs use the hardware provided with the safety bars.I just went through a horrible process of mounting a murphy bed to the wall. I chose a similar anchor product (with an animal name that is large heavy and grey). They didn't "self" release behind the wall, the part you pull to set the ring broke off and honestly, I am still half afraid the bed is going to swallow me up one day. Toggler Snaptoggle Drywall Anchors are so much better. The toughest part for me was drilling the ceramic tile, use a punch and hammer to break the surface, get a set of good bits start small and enlarge. Once you reach the desired size, simply push the toggle through and adjust the two ends until they are even to ensure the toggle is lying correctly. Push the ring forward and snap off the remaining pulls. Honestly very easy. I am a 67-year-old handy woman and now I will be safer in the shower.

As I decided to mount my 77 inch lg g4 tv to the included wall mount, after researching this seemed like the most secure option. The directions were easy to follow and straight forward even for a novice. Item is extremely sturdy and stable and looks like a professional install.

I had heard about these through “This Old House.” I needed to put some up some shelves in a room where the studs aren’t readily available, so I thought I would give these a try. And they work pretty well. They require a 1/2” hole, which is a bit large and leaves a lot of drywall dust on the floor. Once you’ve drilled the hole, the deal is to slide the plastic legs until the metal piece is perpendicular to the wall, slide the metal piece through the wall and (this is important) pull back on the plastic legs until the metal piece is flush against the back side of the wall. If you don’t get this right, the metal piece won’t be in place to accept the bolt. Then you slide the plastic collar down the legs until it is flush with the front of the wall. Once you’ve slid the plastic collar into place, be careful breaking off the plastic legs. They will have a sharp edge and can nick the wall if you’re not careful. I wasn’t, and now have a couple spots I need to touch up.

All of that said, these anchors are rock solid and worth the money and learning curve. I don’t like to use anchors, but they’re a necessary evil at times. And these are probably the best I’ve used.

It took three tries to get one to lock into place correctly- apparently there was insulation behind the drywall that prevented the toggle from lying flat against the wall. Not the toggle’s fault, just something to be aware of.

I bought a shower curtain rod. It came with anchors, but they failed within a day. The rod hung downwards and it created big holes in my wall. I needed to buy better anchors. I decided to buy these because they hold a lot of weight and seem like they would work really well. I'm super impressed with them. My curtain rod is now super solid. I did have to buy new screws because the rounded top didn't work for me, so I bought a flat headed one. I also wasted one of the anchors because when I put the screw in, I guess it went in at an angle and the whole anchor turned around and broke off the plastic bit. It was hard getting it off, and when I did, the anchor just fell to the ground in the wall. I made sure to wiggle the rest of the screws in and turn by hand to make sure it was in properly. The whole process of installing the anchors was easy. And I now have a solid sturdy curtain rod

I ordered some of these to reattach a porch railing after some rot repair. I only chose them because I saw that the railing had been attached using these earlier.

They worked well and the railing is very secure now. I really like the zip tie concept they use to hold the nut in place during installation. My only minor complaint is that the plastic sleeves from the original job didn't hold up forever and I couldn't just reuse the old (15-20 years???) fasteners.

When these work, they work well. But about half of mine in the package failed to thread properly, leading to the toggle piece falling off and into the wall. Seems there are some quality control issues, as half of them threaded beautifully with no issue. Cross-threading shouldn't be an issue with a "premium" product like this, but it is.

Pro’s incredibly easy to install. Once in pkace nylon steps pop off with ease (using your fingers). I used these after a different, screw in anchor failed). Wished I’d use these first!
Con’s - you do have to drill a half inch hole for each bracket (no big deal for most things).
